Who or what got you into shooting?
Friends from work (mostly the firefighters), I went shooting with them once and I was hooked.

First or favorite gun?
My favorite gun is my Springfield Armory 1911 A1 .45 ACP.

What is your favorite gun accessory? Why?
My automatic clay thrower for my Browning shotgun

Favorite place to shoot or hunt?
ISRA range in Bonfield, IL

Favorite shooting/hunting apparel?
Anything Browning

Favorite shooting/hunting partner?
My firefighter friends

Best shooting/hunting memory?
Learning to shoot correctly at the NRA basic pistol and shotgun clinics

I own a gun because:
It's my right, and I want to be able to protect myself if necessary. I enjoy shooting at the range and challenging myself - especially with trap shooting.

How do you feel about pink guns?
Not a fan. I think a gun should look like a gun, not some toy. I personally hate the color. Give me stainless or blue.

Do you go to the range to amp up or chill out?
Shooting is very relaxing. You have to have the right mindset to keep on target. It's very calming.

Best gun tip?
Find one that fits. Don't get something that doesn't fit well with your grip or length of pull.

Your choice of gun for protection?
I have a Savage 12 gauge with an 18-inch barrel for home protection. Matte black with ghost sights

Guns or shoes?
Guns every time. Shoe styles come and go, but guns are mine forever.

Who or what inspires you?
Women who have overcome the odds and come out on top inspire me. For instance, the young lady who saved herself and her baby by shooting those who broke into her home, or the 12 year old girl who was home alone, but not afraid to use the shotgun she had, because someone cared enough to teach her how.

What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
Concealed carry. Too bad our sissy governor lets the City of Chicago run the rest of our state.

Book you’re reading?
Anything by Fern Michaels, Danielle Steel, etc…

Favorite TV Show?
Top Chef on Bravo

What’s new on your iPod?
Katy Perry, TobyMac

Favorite sports team?
Chicago Bears

Favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere in Alaska

Your greatest accomplishment?
Completing my Master's degree in Information Systems Management
