OWNER/ SHARP SHOOTERS USA & CONCEALED CARRIER

Roswell, Georgia

Who or what got you into shooting?:
As part owner of Georgia's largest indoor range and shooting facility, I wanted to become more familiar with the firearms and classes that we offer. Generally my time is spent upstairs in the back office. My desire was to become more proficient and knowledgeable down on the floor, so I took it upon myself to take classes and spend time on the range.

Do you shoot handguns, shotguns, rifles or all of the above?:
I prefer handguns, although our range offers everything from handguns to full auto.

Why are you involved with the NRA or how do you support their efforts?:
Both my husband and myself are members of the NRA and sponsor numerous fund raising activities and attend most local and varying levels of distant shot shows.

Tell us about the first gun you owned or your favorite gun.:
My favorite handgun is my pink Walther PK380. I like the way it shoots, and love the way it looks.

What's your current go-to gun?:
I currently carry both a Walther PK380 and S&W Shield.

What's your favorite shooting range or place to hunt?:
Naturally, my favorite shooting range is Sharp Shooters USA located in Roswell, Georgia. I'm part owner with my father and husband and couldn't be more proud of our facility. We are state of the art with an extreme emphasis on training and safety. Our location is the go to range for local law enforcement training and caters to both men and women who want the opportunity to learn more and protect themselves should the opportunity arise.

Do you have a favorite accessory or clothing item you won't go shooting or hunting without? What makes it so important?:
I'm the founder and CEO of a new line of high-end ladies firearms accessories. We've launched our product line over the last year, and have been extremely encouraged by the overwhelming response to Concealed Carrie. I wanted the opportunity to carry in style and felt the current industry standards were limited and geared toward a less fashionable demographic. Therefore, Concealed Carrie was born.

What's your most unusual gun-related item?:
My Concealed Carrie handbag and computer case.

I own a gun because:
I don't expect someone else to be there to protect me should the need arise. I'm more empowered now that I carry on a regular basis.

Your ideal shopping trip: the mall or an outdoor outfitter?:
I'm an online shopper and hate malls!

What do you think is the best home defense — firing or fleeing?:
If they can get through my two German Shepherds, then I'll be standing behind them with a gun in hand.

Your greatest accomplishment?:
My daughter.
