Who or what got you into shooting?
Growing up in Africa, hunting and personal safety have always been large factors in my life. After moving to the States, a local wildlife law enforcement officer's family took me in and mentored me in both North American hunting and personal safety in a highly regulated environment.
Do you shoot handguns, shotguns, rifles or all of the above?
All of the above! I have a concealed weapons permit and carry a handgun for self preservation purposes, however I greatly enjoy waterfowl and small game hunting.
Why are you involved with the NRA or how do you support their efforts?
I have grown up in highly volatile political environments where rape, murder and violence were tools of manipulation and intimidation. After moving to the United States of America I realized how important the Second Amendment is in maintaining a stable political climate.
Tell us about the first gun you owned or your favorite gun.
First gun was a 12 gauge Mossberg pump shotgun, still my gun of choice in a home invasion! My absolute favorite gun (at the moment) is either my .380 Ruger LCP or the Smith & Wesson M&P “The Shield". Both great concealed carry guns for women.
What's your current go-to gun?
Depends! Ruger LCP .380 is currently the gun I use and carry the most.
What's your favorite shooting range or place to hunt?
Brunswick County Law Enforcement Range and Ye Olde Gun Club are my two go to ranges, but hunting well I'd have to go with Africa.
Do you have a favorite accessory or clothing item you won't go shooting or hunting without? What makes it so important?

Ruger .380 easiest and hardest would be a full size 12 gauge shotgun.

A mall with an outdoor outfitter!
What do you think is the best home defense — firing or fleeing?
